I think we all saw this coming, but maybe not this fast! The Chicago Cubs World Series Championship story is being made into a movie. And who can we thank for the movie? Well, none other than the hero of the World Series himself, David Ross. Ross is writing a book about his baseball career and, of course, breaking the curse with the Cubs. There is not a ton of information yet, but what we do know is that Ross has partnered with Radar Pictures to produce the movie and that the working title will “Teammate: My Life in Baseball”.
David Ross’s book, Teammate: My Journey in Baseball and a World Series for the Ages, is due to come out on May 9th. Ross has been a busy man since hitting the decisive homerun in Game 7 of the World Series. Not only has he been apparently working on writing a book, but also has signed on to work at ESPN and has been competing on Dancing with the Stars. Now we can add ‘making a movie’ to the list. My one question, when does this man sleep???
Something we can assume, when this movie comes to theaters, it is going to make a TON of money! Additionally, Cubs fans, I’m sure, would have no problem with a sequel if the Cubs go back to back this year.
