Michael Ray has another certified hit song on his hands and that makes him thankful to not become a “one hit wonder.”

Michael Ray’s debut single “Kiss You In The Morning” reached #1 on the country radio airplay charts in late 2015. The song is from his debut, self-titled album.

The second single from the project “Real Men Love Jesus” stalled-out last year after reaching the top 20. I’m not sure why because I personally really liked the song.

However, the third single has done much better. Michael’s song “Think A Little Less” has reached #2 on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart this week and #3 on the Mediabase/Country Airplay singles chart.

It looks as though the song will likely reach the pinnacle of the charts in a week or two. But, if it doesn’t it already qualifies as the singer-songwriter’s second hit song and that removes some worry from Michael’s mind.

“I was joking with Jimmy Robbins one of the writers on ‘Think A Little Less’ and I said, ‘Man, I just wanna thank you for not making me that guy that’s like twenty years from now when people are like, Who? And they go ‘Michael Ray, remember that one hit back in the day’,” Michael laughingly confesses.

“It’s been awesome,” Michael adds as he reveals his genuine appreciation for how this song has connected with fans and radio, “This song is special for me and my team in a lot of ways. So, for this song to be where it’s at now, to see all the hard work that my team and radio helping us and everybody’s got behind this song so much, it makes it even that more special.”
