Thomas Rhett‘s wife does more than just inspire her husband’s music, Lauren is completely involved in his career.
Lauren was the inspiration for Thomas Rhett’s mega-hit “Die A Happy Man” that is nominated for a Grammy at the upcoming awards show February 12th. That song has already won the CMA Single of the Year and ACM Single of the Year awards in 2016.
Thomas Rhett’s wife was also the inspiration for his current single “Star Of The Show” that sits at #2 on both the Billboard and Mediabase country airplay singles charts this week. The song will likely hit the #1 spot next week for Thomas Rhett. Lauren even appears in the music video for the song with her husband that you can watch here.
Thomas Rhett is finishing up his third studio album. Apparently Lauren wants to make sure her husband’s success keeps growing.
“She’s pretty invested in the songs I pick and how they are recorded,” Thomas Rhett admits.
“I’ve been working with a guy named Dann Huff I’m sure you all know,” he shares, “but my wife called the other day and we were in the studio and she was like, ‘Make sure Dann doesn’t put any dobro on a certain track.'”
How did his producer take the advice from Lauren? “Dann was like, ‘I’ve never had a wife ever call and tell me how to do my job’,” Thomas Rhett confesses with a laugh, “So, she’s pretty involved in that aspect.”
If the next album sounds as good as Thomas Rhett’s first two, Lauren needs to keep on doing what she’s doing if you ask me.
