Brad Paisley‘s latest single “Today” can be used for many of life’s milestones. The question is, what does it mean to you?
The song has reached the top 10 on the Billboard Country Airplay singles chart. Brad wrote the song with Chris DuBois and Ashley Gorley. He has said in the past, “I know what I wrote it about, but I’d be way more interested in what the song means to all of you.”
Brad shares that fans have told him the song has represented many things in their lives and he takes pride in that knowledge.
“Every one of them is different. That’s really rewarding too … to think that somebody, one person is using this for their graduation, another person is using it for their wedding, another person feels like this is something that applies to their beating cancer, or a great memory with their grandfather or whatever it may be,” Brad says, “There’s nothing like feeling like people are loving this song even more than me.”
In the official music video for “Today,” Brad uses videos to visually show the many different milestones the lyrics of the song can represent. There are birth announcements, weddings, homecoming of soldiers and more. Watch that music video at the bottom of the page.
I have used the song as a dedication to the Bride and Groom as the last song of the night at wedding receptions I have DJed since the song came out.
The song is the debut single from a forthcoming new album from Brad Paisley titled Love And War that is scheduled for release March 3rd.
