Justin Moore may be a famous country music singer-songwriter, but he is a father first. So, how does he protect his kids from his own fame?

Justin and his wife Kate are the proud parents of three young girls; Ella (6), Kennedy (5) and Rebecca (2). One of the biggest problems that celebrities face is determining the motivation that anybody has that enters their lives. For celebrities that are also parents that issue is magnified when it comes to people that interact with their children.

“You know, I always kind of relate it to if I were single looking for a girlfriend or wife after having success,” Justin explains, “You have to be guarded to see if it was really real or not, or if it was just somebody chasing something.”

Justin says when it comes to his children he has to have the same skepticism. “I think that’s the same thing with my kids,” he shares, “I feel like they need to be guarded as far as friendships and all of this and that.”

What is the best way a celebrity can protect their children from the fame the parent has achieved and the possible false friendships as a result? I am sure, just like all parenting, each celebrity parent has their own way of trying to keep their kids safe from being hurt by people with the wrong motivation.

For Justin, one of the best ways to protect his kids is to keep them in what he feels is a safer place to grow up, the small-town called Poyen, Arkansas where he grew up, “I think they can let their guard down a little more back home.”

I would agree with Justin, although I am not a celebrity and cannot speak from experience on that front. However, I have lived in small towns and the big city in my life. I will say that people in small towns tend to protect their own in the community. For Justin’s wife and children I believe that would be even greater since it where he also grew up and that community has always known him and his family. In my experience that would create even more loyalty to protect their own for Justin, his wife and kids.

I’m sure that Justin and Kate appreciate that community protection for their kids and will even more soon. The couple just revealed that they are expecting child number four this June.

We can all congratulate Justin on that announcement when he comes to Bloomington February 11th with Lee Brice and their co-headlining “American Made Tour” with special guest William Michael Morgan. Get concert and tickets information here.
