Brett Eldredge has been one of country music’s rising stars in the past couple of years.
Since the release of his debut single “Raymond” in 2010 Brett has released two studio albums (Bring You Back and Illinois), a Christmas album (Glow) and eight singles at country radio.
The last six singles that Brett has released have all hit #1 on the country radio singles charts. They include “Don’t Ya” (2012), “Beat of The Music” (2013), “Mean To Me” (2014), “Lose My Mind” (2015), “Drunk On Your Love” (2015) and “Drunk On Your Love (2016).
Brett says that his upbringing in Paris, Illinois has helped shape him into the musical artist he is today. “I grew up in a small town of, you know, family values,” he shares, “I was growing up, you know…hard work and [the] Midwest.”
It is country music’s support of those “small-town values” that help to shape the songs that he writes and records. “I’ve always just loved to make the music that I feel inspired to write, and country music was what spoke to my soul the most,” Brett explains, “It’s just who I am and what I do.”
Brett has also built his fan base by sharing a lot of his life on social media. Fans get to see his fun personality through his posts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. His candid, fun and sometimes crazy posts have made his one of the most followed celebrities in country music.
Brett has also won the approval of his peers in country music. He has been nominated for numerous awards including CMA Awards, ACM Awards and CMT Awards among others, and Brett won the 2014 CMA New Artist of the Year Award.
These days everybody seems to try to categorize what kind of country music each artist makes. Brett doesn’t really subscribe to that way of thinking. “You know, I just try to open my mouth and have fun with it and see what comes out,” he shares, adding, “and hopefully my fans continue to love it.”
Brett will likely continue to grow his fan base with those attitudes and the fact that he will again get to share his music with many country music fans in the coming year as he will be a part of the Luke Bryan “Kill The Lights Tour 2017” that kicks off February 16th in Huntington, West Virginia. The tour is set to hit 11 cities in early 2017. Brett is also set to play many other shows and country music festivals already in the coming year. Find out where Brett will be on tour here.
Congratulations on all of the well-deserved success Brett! Just keep being true to who you are and I have no doubt that even more is headed your way.
