Last night (11/29) was the live elimination show for The Voice Season 11 with TWO performances by the iconic Dolly Parton. The question for Team Blake supporters is how did Blake Shelton‘s artists do in the eliminations?
Dolly Parton was joined by Jennifer Nettles and the Top 10 to perform a song from Dolly’s new movie Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love that Jennifer plays a starring role in. The song is called “Circle Of Love” and the holiday movie will air on NBC tonight, November 30th at 8 PM central time (9 PM eastern time). You can watch the performance of the song from The Voice below.
Dolly returned to the stage with her Goddaughter Miley Cyrus and the group Pentatonix to perform Dolly’s classic hit song “Jolene.” Watch that performance in the video below.
Between the performances the artists that were saved by America’s votes were revealed until there were only three artists remaining to find out their fate on the show.
All three of Adam Levine’s artists advanced to the Top 8 Semi Finals for next week as did both of Alicia Keys’ remaining artists. Sundance Head from Team Blake and Ali Caldwell from Team Miley were also saved by America’s vote.
That left two of Blake’s artists, Austin Allsup and Courtney Harrell, and one of Miley’s, Aaron Gibson for the third straight week, to battle for the Twitter Instant Save. You can watch the three performances by the artists for the save below.
When the Twitter votes were tallied it was Aaron Gibson that was saved for the third week in a row by the Twitter Instant Save.
Blake’s team was cut from three to just one as Austin and Courtney were eliminated from the competition. The Team Blake supporters (like me) need to rally to make sure Sundance remains in the show through the end of the show.
Next week the Top 8 will perform in the season 11 semi finals of The Voice. Next week eight will become four with the season finale of the show airing the following week.
The semi finals will begin with the live performances of the Top 8 on The Voice Season 11 Monday, December 5th at 7 PM central time (8 PM eastern time) on NBC.
