Cole Swindell has completed a memory by taking his latest single “Middle Of A Memory” to the number one spot on the country airplay singles charts.
The advanced Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts have been released and Cole is in the #1 spot on both charts for this week.
The chart topping single is from Cole’s latest album You Should Be Here and is the follow-up to the debut, three-week #1 title track from the project.
Cole remembers exactly when and why he and the co-writers of the song created the song. “here was a song on one of my Down Home Sessions (EP) called ‘Kiss’ – that’s the name of the song we were writing,” he explains. “Me, Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell were writing that song, and in the second verse it says ‘Girl, you left me here with half a beer in the middle of a memory.’ And, we just all three stopped and was like, ‘Woah, we have to write that…Middle of a Memory we have to…’ So, we just stopped writing that song and wrote ‘Middle of a Memory’ right there.”
“Middle Of A Memory” becomes Cole’s sixth single out of six to hit #1 on either the Billboard singles chart, Country Aircheck singles chart or both.
Congratulations to Cole Swindell on his #1 song “Middle Of A Memory.”
