Kenny Chesney Scores a “Cosmic” Number One Debut

Kenny Chesney has debuted at #1 with his new album Cosmic Hallelujah on the Billboard chart.

The new project is Kenny’s 16th studio album and becomes his 11th consecutive #1 studio album. Counting his compilation albums it is his 14th career number one album.

Cosmic Hallelujah makes a #1 debut on the Billboard Top Country Albums sales chart according to Billboard. The album sold some 79,000 copies in the first week of release. The publication also reports that the sales have propelled Kenny to open at #1 on the all-genre Top Album Sales chart, the eighth time this has happened for Kenny in his career.

The latest single from the album was a collaboration with Kenny and pop-rock singer Pink called “Setting The World On Fire” which reached #1 on the country singles charts to mark his 29th career chart topper the week the album was released. The album also features the debut hit single “Noise” by Kenny.

During the first week of sales for the album Kenny became only the third artist to receive the CMA Pinnacle Award at the 50th CMA Awards Show.
