Is Zac Brown leaving country music behind? Nope. He just says he is tired of being stuck in a bucket.
Zac Brown dropped a surprise on fans last week…he’s got a new side project called Sir Rosevelt and it’s AMAZING!
There are 3 tracks by this new project of Zac’s, it’s a trio also featuring Niko Moon and Ben Simonetti that is guaranteed to have you dancing, and already has some built in fans.
Jake Owen tweeted: “do yourself a favor and preorder Zac Brown’s new side project album, Sir Rosevelt. I’m telling you, it’s gonna change the game.”
The first single released for Sir Rosevelt is called “Sunday Finest”, and it’s a little bit of southern pop and a little bit of dance, it’s infectious, and catchy, and I personally LOVE IT! I can’t wait for the album to come out, but as Jake Owen states…you can pre-order it, and it might change your life. Four songs from the album are already available to download immediately when you pre-order the album on iTunes (which I just did.)
As for Zac, he explains “fans aren’t losing Zac Brown Band, they’re gaining Sir Rosevelt.” He gets candid when he states “people that hate it are people who don’t ever create anything themselves, but that’s okay, they can review other people’s art when they don’t do anything besides still living in the basement at 40 waiting on mom to finish dinner.”
WOAH! Harsh words, but it sounds like Zac is ready for the critics and I think he can handle them. When asked if people know Sir Rosevelt is him, he says, “Some people do, some people don’t. It’s fun, we get to explore all the other influences that we like and I think it’s just got a lot more international appeal. It’s not shoved in a bucket like country music is.”
Watch and listen for yourself. This is the first Sir Rosevelt single “Sunday Finest.”
