Garth Brooks has made more music history by becoming the only artist to ever have seven albums earn the Diamond Certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

Last weekend (9/23-9/25/16) it was made official and Garth celebrated while on the road at his Fresno, California tour stop. The 2007 album The Ultimate Hits by Garth Brooks officially sold more than 10 million copies to earn the RIAA Diamond Award.

Garth discussed the milestone in his weekly Monday Facebook Live chat (9/26) called Inside Studio G that you can watch below. Garth also shares footage from the concert where the announcement was made about the historic achievement and footage from his backstage “champagne celebration” with his team on the road.

The other six albums from Garth that have earned the Diamond Award are 1989’s Garth Brooks, 1990’s No Fences, 1991’s Ropin’ the Wind, 1994’s The Hits, 1997’s Sevens and 1998’s Double Live. I guess it just goes to show that when it comes to music, Garth will long be the standard that other artists need to strive to achieve.

Congratulations to Garth Brooks on his historic seventh Diamond Certification Award!
