Cole Swindell‘s latest single is “Middle Of A Memory,” however thanks to a young fan at the Miss America pageant, he got a complete memory.
Cole’s single is climbing the country singles charts at #13 as of this week. The song tells the story of a guy being interrupted while dancing with a girl he is interested in by her friends. The lyrics and hook of the song ask if the friends know that they should interrupt somebody “In The Middle Of A Memory.”
Cole was making some memories of his own when he got to be a guest judge at the 2017 Miss America pageant. Angelica Hale was also a part of the show as she got to represent Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals by performing the National Anthem at the pageant.
Cole and Angelica met backstage and the young lady informed the country singer-songwriter that she knew his latest single. She then began singing the song for Cole and he even joined in a little with her.
Following the abbreviated version of the song Cole told her while giving her a hug, “This is a great memory! Thank you so much. This made my whole night.” Angelica politely and cutely replied, “You are welcome.”
That memory was not interrupted in the middle, it is a complete memory for both Cole and Angelica.
