The Zac Brown Band (ZBB) has gone Platinum with their latest album and announced they will be working on a new album.
Zac Brown along with all the members of the band gathered on their tour bus to record a short video that they posted to Twitter earlier today (9/7) to thank fans and share the news.
In the video (watch it above) Zac thanks the fans for making their latest album Jekyll + Hyde a Platinum album (selling more than one million copies) and their album Foundation a five-time Platinum album (selling more than five million copies).
Zac also mentions that the band will be back in the studio this winter to work on a new album. He says that it will be “straight back to our roots, ‘Foundation style’.” The project will be ZBB’s seventh studio album.
The band’s now Platinum current album has already produced the #1 singles “Homegrown,” “Loving You Easy” and “Beautiful Drug.” The current single “Castaway” from Jekyll + Hyde is climbing the charts at #15 on the Billboard Country Radio airplay chart and #16 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart this week.
ZBB was also just announced as one of the five final nominees for the 50th CMA Awards Vocal Group of the Year award.
Congratulations to the Zac Brown Band on their Platinum certification for Jekyll + Hyde and I can’t wait to hear the new album when it is finished!
