Don’t worry #Nashies, Nashville is coming back!
DO you want the good news first, or the bad news?
I’ll lead with the good…
It’s official. CMT has officially set January 5, 2017 as the premiere date for Season 5 of the TV drama Nashville. Earlier this year our world came crashing down when it was announced that ABC was suddenly pulling the drama after just 4 seasons, which would have left a LOT of story lines up in the air. Fans were NOT happy and started an online petition, which caught the attention of our savior, CMT.
So, good news, the two-hour premiere will air January 5th, 2017 and will be broadcast on CMT and also streamed on Hulu.
The bad news? Connie Britton, who plays Rayna James has announced she may leave after season 5. She is only signed on for 10 out of 22 episodes of the upcoming season at this time. Final negotiations are still being worked out, but this could mean the permanent end of Rayna and Deacon.
When Nashville left us in season four, Juliette Barnes (Hayden Panetierre) was in an airplane that went missing, leaving fans wondering if she would die in a plane crash while her love interest Avery Barkley (Jonathon Jackson) awaited her arrival at the airport. We will no longer have to wonder when season five returns. Tune in to CMT on Jan. 5, to see how it all plays out.
