Dierks Bentley brought out his 7-year-old daughter Evie to sing “Different For Girls” with him at his Jet Black VIP backstage experience.
At the special acoustic pre-show concert in Indianapolis last Saturday (8/13) on his “Somewhere On a Beach Tour,” Dierks was singing his current hit single. When he got to the part where Elle King joins in on the duet, he explains that she could not be there for this performance. He then tells those in attendance that he met a “young fan” backstage that would come sing Elle’s part on the song.
Dierks lowers a microphone to the height his 7-year-old daughter (she’ll turn eight October 4th this year) needed and the two do a great job together finishing the song. Watch the performance in the video at the top of the page.
This is not the first time the father-daughter duo has performed in front of an audience. Country Rebel points out that a video of the two performing together at a Dierks concert went viral in 2012 when Evie was just 4-years-old. You can watch that performance at the bottom of the page.
It looks like Evie might be dreaming of following in her father’s shoes when she gets older. Based on these performances, she just might have a future doing just that.
