Eric Church did a powerful version of the song “Hallelujah” that you have to see!
Last Tuesday night (8/9) Eric was doing a concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater just outside Denver, Colorado. He did a live broadcast on his Facebook page to announce his solo 2017 “Holding My Own Tour” which will make a stop just down the road from here at the Peoria Civic Center May 12, 2017.
The tour next year will not include any opening acts. Eric and his band will do two sets at each concert stop with an intermission between the sets.
Eric may have been showing the audience at Red Rocks that night that he is indeed good at “holding his own” as he performed a powerful version of the song “Hallelujah” with just his guitar and nothing else.
The song was first recorded in 1984 by Leonard Cohen and used a single. However, since the remake of the song in 2007 by Jeff Buckley the song has found new life and has been covered by many artists on TV shows and live in concert.
Eric’s rockin’-country version of the song in powerful and emotional and the crowd at Red Rocks can be heard joining in on the chorus of “Hallelujah” as they enjoy the performance.
