Lauren Alaina has found a new, favorite toy, a “giant gerbil ball.”

The American Idol alum and country music star recently took a vacation to Cancun with her boyfriend, Alex. One of the things she did other than lounging on the beach was to play in an inflatable plastic ball.

“My favorite thing I did the whole time when I was there was I got in this big giant human-sized gerbil ball that they put on the water and you run in it,” Lauren shares. “I have a video, it’s ridiculous.”

What did Lauren think of being “gerbil” in a ball? “It was so hard; I think they put baby oil in that puppy,” she confesses, “But, it was so much fun I was running around.”

Lauren says there was something slightly embarrassing about the whole thing. “There was a line to do it and it was like six-year-olds and me, so I may have like been too old to do it,” she admits, adding, “But, I didn’t care ’cause it was awesome.”

When you are on vacation you have the right to have fun in any way you choose Lauren, as long as it’s legal.
