Thomas Rhett and his wife Lauren were on “Vacation” when he filmed the music video for his next single.

The next singles from Thomas Rhett’s current album Tangled Up is titled “Vacation.”  In a Nash exclusive, Thomas Rhett explains why filming the music video on his family vacation made perfect sense.

“When we’re in Hawaii, man, it’s all water sports, “Thomas explains about taking vacation in Hawaii, “I mean, we love to surf, we love to paddle board. Just, you know, on the North Shore, man, we’ve become really good friends with a lot of people out there, and (we were) kinda just learning how to live their lifestyle.”

That is why he chose to film the music video last summer on their trip to the islands, “We just wanted to shoot a video about what we would personally do on our vacation, and that’s what we did.”

The video was actually released last summer when Thomas Rhett was gearing up to release his sophomore album Tangled Up. Since the release of the album September 25, 2015 it has produced three #1 singles, “Crash And Burn,” “T-Shirt” and his award winning, six-week #1 song “Die A Happy Man.”

With the timing of the release of this next single and the accompanying music video, I have a feeling “Vacation” will likely be the next chart topping single for Thomas Rhett.
