Tim McGraw has topped the country singles charts for radio airplay again with his powerful song “Humble And Kind.”
The advanced Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts have been released and Tim sits in the #1 spot on both charts for this week. “Humble And Kind” becomes Tim’s 28th career number one single for radio airplay.
The video for the song also scored Tim the CMT Music Award for Video of the Year just last week (6/8).
While Tim has a pretty good life these days, he does remember when he was first starting out and things weren’t quite as good. “I remember when I first signed, I got some gigs right away, and I had no furniture in my house,” Tim recalls, “In fact, I remember, Deano, who plays fiddle for me, before I had a record deal, would come to my apartment and nine times out of ten my electricity would be turned off. And he would call me up and say ‘Hey, I wanna come over and play some music’ and I’d say ‘You have to bring a fire log and some wood because I don’t have any heat. And you have to bring a bag of Doritos’ and we would sit there and play George Strait songs.”
Congratulations to Tim McGraw on his latest number one single “Humble And Kind.”
Just a side thought I have been having as I write this blog. With the tragic events that happened in Orlando this past weekend, I can’t help but to think of the importance of the lyrics of this song. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the victims, their families and friends. I am going to share the music video for Tim McGraw’s “Humble And Kind” and pray that the world can begin to live by the simple, powerful words of the song.
