We’ve all sung along with our favorite songs at the concerts of our favorite artists. Carrie Underwood was in Ottawa, Canada the other night when she got word that a fan named ‘Bern’ had to be rushed to the hospital. Those are words that send a shiver down the spine of an artist.

Bern was singing so hard that his lung collapsed. I’ve never heard that happen before, but Bern’s misfortune did get him a message from his favorite performer. Nashville Kat told us this morning that Carrie Underwood tweeted:

‘Thanks for risking your life to be there’

I don’t know how long it will take for Bern to recover, but I hope it’s quick and if he ever has more misfortune, it’s just throwing a back out from sneezing.
