Six Country Music Stars Included in First Round of ‘Teen Choice Awards’ Nominees

The first round of nominees for the 2016 Teen Choice Awards were revealed today (6/1) and six country music stars are among the names.

The Teen Choice Awards are a fan-voted awards show that reflects the favorites in TV, movies and music for the teens.

Voting opened today through TeenChoice.com, the FOX NOW app and Twitter and remains open through Thursday, June 2nd at 12:00 PM PT. Get all the voting details here.

One of the categories revealed today is for “Choice Country Artist.” The six nominees in that category are Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Bryan and Sam Hunt.

Blake is also part of a nomination for “Choice TV: Reality Show” as The Voice is among the nominees for that award.

The winners of the awards will be announced during a two-hour live event that will air Sunday, July 31st on FOX TV.
