Blake Shelton has scored a number one single and album all at the same time with “Came Here To Forget” off the album If I’m Honest.
Blake’s latest album If I’m Honest debuted at #1 on the Billboard Country Album sales chart with 170,000 units sold in the first week of sales. That sales total was enough for Blake to debut at #3 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart.
The album had a hefty 153,000 in traditional album sales for that first week out of the 170,000 total units sold. That gave If I’m Honest the #1 spot for a debut on the Top Album Sales chart (which ranks the week’s highest selling albums in terms of pure album sales in all genres).
The debut single from the album “Came Here To Forget” has also ascended to the top of the country singles charts at the same time. The advanced Billboard and Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles charts are out and Blake is in the top spot on both charts.
“Came Here To Forget” becomes Blake’s 22nd career chart topper. It also keeps his historic string of number one singles alive and growing as the song becomes his 17th consecutive #1 single.
Blake will be out on the road through the summer and early fall on tour. That tour will make a stop just down the road from us here in #BloNo at the Peoria Civic Center Thursday, September 15th in Peoria, Illinois. Get the concert and tickets details here.
Congratulations to Blake Shelton on his #1 album If I’m Honest and his #1 single “Come Here To Forget.”
