It is Memorial Day Weekend and B104 reminds you to take a moment to remember the Heroes of the USA Military during the holiday.
The video above is from the 2015 National Memorial Day concert that aired on PBS. The orchestra and chorus perform the “Armed Forces Medley” which features the anthem for every armed forces branch of the United States of America: National Guard, Coast Guard, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps and Army.
The video begins with a lone bugler playing “Taps” for all of the fallen military men and women of the United States Armed Forces. This reminds us to take some time this holiday weekend to also pause to remember those soldiers who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.
In the video, then Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Martin Dempsey said it well. Let’s all take the time to remember the fallen soldiers of the United States of America and be thankful for the “Blessings of Liberty for which they paid so dearly.”
On behalf of everybody at B104 I would like to say “Thank You” to all of the past, present and future men and women who serve the USA in our military.
To the men and women who have died in that service, and to their families, “Thank You” will never be enough … it is a debt that can never be repaid. We take this moment to remember you and your sacrifice as true Heroes today and forever.
