CMT Music Awards Announce Hosts, Mash-Up Performance and Presenters

The 2016 CMT Music Awards will be hosted by Erin Andrews and J.J. Watt. The show will also feature a mash-up performance with Cam and Fifth Harmony.

Erin Andrews is the Sportscaster/TV personality that also hosts Dancing With the Stars. This will be Erin’s second consecutive year serving as a host for the CMT Music Awards.

Joining her in his first time serving as a host for the show will be football superstar J.J., Watt who is best known for his defense on the field with the Houston Texans. Since being drafted by the Texans in 2011, J.J. has established himself as one of the most dominant players in the NFL by tying an NFL record with three NFL defensive player of the year awards in 2012, 2014 and 2015.

Also announced was the collaboration between country music singer-songwriter Cam and pop superstars Fifth Harmony. The two acts will combine on stage to perform a mash-up of Cam’s song “Mayday” and the Fifth Harmony’s #1 Billboard Pop song “Work From Home.”

CMT confirmed the first round of presenters for this year’s show. The list includes actors Vince Vaughn, Rob Riggle, Joey Lauren Adams and Madison Iseman, NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, country artists Charles Kelley, Cole Swindell, Dan + Shay and Kellie Pickler.

The first round of performers were announced last week and includes Blake Shelton with The Oak Ridge Boys, Keith Urban with Brett Eldredge and Maren Morris, Chris Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Thomas Rhett.

Fans can vote now via CMT.com until June 6th at 12:01 a.m. to determine the winners for video of the year. CMT will announce a brand new surprise awards category June 1st. More performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.

The 2016 CMT Music Awards will air live from Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on June 8th at 7 PM central time/8 PM eastern time on CMT.
