Is there any truth to the rumors that The Band Perry is going Pop?

Truth is YES! They are about to make a BIG change as they just signed a pop record deal with Interscope Records. Wow! I know the band has a lot of pop sound in their music, but I never thought they would move away from country completely. I already knew they parted ways with their old label Big Machine, but this new journey will have them working in LA, so does that mean leaving Nashville for good?

I hope not!

Right now the siblings are in the studio prepping their third full length album, Heart + Beat, which is still being released as a country album. There are no details on if the move to the pop genre is going to be a long journey or a short one, but I hope they don’t leave behind their country roots for long.

Good news is, they’ve been incorporating a pop sound in their music for awhile now, and I love everything they’ve done. Plus, with their new single “Live Forever” being selected as the official song of Team USA for the 2016 Summer Olympics, maybe they felt now was a good time to make the jump to pop and see how it goes.

I think they will find success in whatever they do and wish them luck!
