Jake Owen has released the brand new music video for his latest single “American Country Love Song” which features his 1966 Volkswagen Micro Bus.

Last month Jake purchased the classic sea-foam green vehicle and promptly set off on a road trip from Nashville to Key West. Along the way he played music for fans, visited some fun locations and enjoyed some great food while he filmed the trip for the music video.

“The song is about feeling young and free,” Jake told People Magazine, “I’ve done videos before where there’s a bunch of people standing around putting make-up on me and I don’t think of that as being free. I wanted the all-American road trip.”

Did Jake enjoy the road trip/video shoot? “I’ve gone through a lot in the last couple years,” Jake shares, continuing, “And it was nice to just literally drive 55 miles an hour in the right-hand lane, which was as fast as we could go, not be in a hurry, and along the way see what happens… Stop places, play music, eat some good food and talk to people.”

Fans might get another chance to see the vintage micro bus which has been named “Jake’s Love Bus.”

“It fits perfectly in the trailer behind my tour bus, so everywhere we go this year on tour we’re taking it with us,” Jake says.

What will happen with the micro bus down the road? (Yes, pun intended.) Jake has that all figured out, “I told my little girl (Pearl) it’s going to be hers when she gets to be 16.”
