Country musicians know how important it is to support our troops, and their families. That is exactly what Lee Brice did over the weekend at the ACM “Party For A Cause” In Las Vegas, Lee surprised a military widow with the family truck her husband traded in before shipping out to Iraq 10 years ago.

Ginger’s late husband Troy was killed in action on November 27th 2006. Troy had always had a ’92 Chevy Silverado, but decided to trade it in for a new one because he needed a reliable ride for his family. Once he found out he was being deployed he decided to sell the new truck so his wife wouldn’t have to worry about how to afford making payments while he was gone.

After Troy was gone, Lee Brice’s song “I Drive Your Truck” came out, and all Ginger could do was think about her late husband and his truck…not the new truck, but all the memories in the old truck. It belonged to Troy’s father, and then Troy, and she wanted their sons Boston and Greyson to be able to share memories in it. So, Ginger went on a search to find the ’92 Chevy Silverado. Lee heard about her plight, found the truck, bought it, had it shipped to Las Vegas, and surprised the family with the truck AND a $40,000 donation with “Party for a Cause” to help provide educational support for Ginger and Troy’s kids.

AMAZING!
