Last night the Knockout Rounds wrapped up on season 10 of The Voice. Blake Shelton finished setting his team for the live shows, as did all the coaches.

Now that the final battles have taken place you can see where Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine and Pharrell Williams’ teams stand for the live shows by clicking here.

However, as I do each week when The Voice is on, let’s take a look at what happened with Blake Shelton and Team Blake. Blake started the night with just two artists left to battle for a spot on his team for the live shows. He was also the only coach left with a Steal.

For Blake’s final Knockout Round pairing he had Brittany Kennell and Mary Sarah. Brittany chose to sing fellow Canadian’s song, “You’re Still The One” by Shania Twain. While the song was a mega hit for Shania, and Brittany’s version was good, the performance just lacked something. Perhaps it wasn’t the best song choice for this important performance.

Mary Sarah chose for her performance the Loretta Lynn classic “You Ain’t Woman Enough (To Take My Man).” The performance showed off the singer’s spunk as well as personal style. I will say that I think she has a much larger range than this song allowed her to show off. Overall it was an outstanding performance though.

In the end Blake must have agreed with my assessment of the two performances to some degree because he chose to keep Mary Sarah on Team Blake moving to the live shows.

Christina Aguilera had the final battle of the Knockout Rounds with her two artists Joe Maye and Kata Hay. Joe picked the song “Earned It (Fifty Shades of Grey)” by The Weeknd as the song he would perform to earn a spot in the live shows. While I am not as familiar with the original version of the song, I felt like Joe did a great job with this performance.

Kata chose to sing Reba’s “Why Haven’t I Heard From You” for this Knockout Round battle. She definitely did not hold back on her sass, spunk or spirit in the performance and just plain rocked the performance.

I was sure that Christina would choose to keep Joe, but she surprised me and picked Kata as the winner of the battle and is taking her to the live shows on Team Xtina.

However, Joe will also be heading to the live shows, but it will be on Team Blake as Blake used his (and the season’s) last Steal to bring him to his team for the live shows.
