I LOVE THIS! As the fashion industry continues to try and represent all body types and promote body positivity for females, let’s not forget about the men. With everything going on to promote a healthy self-image, it’s nice to see the men stepping up and doing the same.

One of my biggest pet peeves is shopping for “plus” sized clothes, but seeing a much smaller person model those clothes. How does that help me? I’ve got curves in more places than you can imagine, so I need to SEE how those clothes would fit someone who has similar curves. Same goes for a thinner person, they need to see how clothes would fit someone with THEIR body type.

Meet Zach Miko, the first “plus” sized male model. He just joined IMG as the company’s first big and tall model, or as they are referring to it, the “Brawn” division.

The fashion industry is changing in big ways, and I’m glad to see that it is starting to become all inclusive. Both women AND men, big and small, are being represented in the fashion world. It helps create a positive message to love ourselves now, and not a future, “better”, version of ourselves.

We need to embrace that everyone is beautiful, and teach future generations to love themselves.
