FOX, Cumulus Media and dick clark productions are re-teaming for the second annual AMERICAN COUNTRY COUNTDOWN AWARDS (ACC Awards), bringing country music’s longest-running radio countdown show to FOX on Sunday, May 1 (7:00-10:00 PM ET live/PT tape-delayed). The two-hour live event will honor the year’s best country music with thrilling performances, special moments and surprises and awards.
The inaugural ACC Awards was a star-studded event featuring performances by Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church, Kelly Clarkson, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Carrie Underwood and Hank Williams, Jr. Presenters also included Kix Brooks, Sara Evans, Hunter Hayes, Maddie & Tae, Scotty McCreery, Kip Moore, Thomas Rhett, Chase Rice, Cole Swindell and Chris Young.
The big winners at last year’s ACC Awards were Jason Aldean named Artist of the Year, Luke Bryan winning Male Vocalist of the Year, and Miranda Lambert scored the Female Artist of the Year award.
“American Country Countdown with Kix Brooks” celebrates its 43rd year as America’s longest-running country music countdown show on radio. Since launching in 1973, the radio show now airs on more than 280 radio stations in 155 markets, covering 90% of the country. You can hear the weekly countdown show Saturday mornings starting at 6 AM central time and Sunday afternoons starting at 3 PM central time on B104.
This year’s ACC Awards host and performers will be announced in the coming weeks.
