Blake Shelton has announced his new single is titled “Came Here To Forget” and fans will be able to get it this Tuesday, March 8th!
Blake told his over 16 million followers on Twitter about the new single with the following message…

The award winning country singer-songwriter did not write the debut single from his forthcoming yet-to-be-titled new album. However, he says that he has a connection to the song that was written by Craig Wiseman and Deric Ruttan. The new single is, “an intimate snapshot of a couple’s encounter at a bar,” according to Blake. He goes on to explain, “I’ve had a lot of music over the years, but I don’t think I’ve ever had a song that’s such a direct look into my life. That’s why I’m so excited about this particular song.” We can expect to see the music video for the new single sooner rather than later. Blake posted the following message about that…

The new album does not have a release date yet, but it will be Blake’s 12th studio album. Since it has been nearly a year and a half since Blake has released any new music, everybody is ready to get their hands on this new music from him. We will have to wait and see if the song will keep Blake’s string of 16 consecutive #1 songs going by becoming his 22nd career chart topper.
In an interview earlier this year, Blake said that everything that has happened in his personal life over the past year is reflected in this new album. “I’ve written more than I’ve written in 15 years, for obvious reasons — all the awful things that have happened in my personal life — but the way the year has ended it’s also the greatest year of my life. It’s been an unbelievable experience this year,” Blake revealed.
Some of Blake’s closest friends have already heard the new single and album. For example, Kelly Clarkson responded to Blake’s tweets about the new music with the following message…

Blake’s fan are excited and ready to get their hands on new music from the man who is arguably the most popular coach on The Voice. You can bet the single will shoot straight to the top of the sales charts as soon as it is released.
Fans in Nashville might get the first chance to hear the new single “Came Here To Forget” by Blake Shelton. He is set to do a pair of concerts in Music City at Bridgestone Arena tonight (3/4) and tomorrow night (3/5). I would bet that Blake will perform the new song live for those shows. We can only hope that somebody posts it to YouTube if he does perform it.
