The 2016 Polar Plunge for Special Olympics of Illinois (SOIL) was another huge success and you can watch my video of the icy dip here.
We had the warmest day ever for our annual Polar Plunge for SOIL as the air temperature was in the low 50s by around noon. However, that water was still a bone chilling 38 degrees!
This year there were over 800 people who took the plunge to be “Freezin’ for a Reason” as well as raise money and awareness for Special Olympics of Illinois. Those plungers helped raise more than $154,000 for the athletes of Special Olympics of Illinois!
I personally hit $1,265 raised for my Polar Plunge this year thanks in large part to Bloomington Meats and their TWO generous donations!
You can continue to donate to the Radio Bloomington team (and all participants) for this year’s Polar Plunge through March 28, 2016 by clicking here.
Thank you to everybody who donated to my or anybody’s plunge and helped a great cause in the process, Special Olympics of Illinois!
