Ten years after she was a contestant on the singing competition Country Music’s Sweetheart Kellie Pickler returned for the Farewell Season of American Idol.

Kellie finished in sixth place during season five of American Idol. However, it did help launch her career in country music. That music career has also been the catalyst for her appearing on (and winning) Dancing With The Stars as well as her new reality show I Love Kellie Pickler. Last night (2/18) Kellie returned to the stage that helped her down the path of that music career.

Kellie mentored and performed with two of the season 15 contestants during her return to American Idol. She worked with Amelia Eisenhauer on the song “Suds In The Bucket.” The song is one Kellie performed during her time on season five as a contestant.

Kellie also worked with Tristan McIntosh. For this performance the two ladies chose one of Kellie’s own songs “Best Days Of Your Life.”

The Farewell Season of American Idol continues with judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. and hosted by Ryan Seacrest Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7 central on FOX until the season 15 (and final) Idol is crowned.
