The Brothers Osborne have scored their very first #1 single this week with “Stay A Little Longer.”

The advanced Mediabase/Country Aircheck singles chart has been released and sitting in the top spot on the chart is “Stay A Little Longer” by Brothers Osborne.

The song is from their debut album Pawn Shop which was released January 15th and is available everywhere now.

The duo is composed of rural Maryland natives T.J. (on left above) and John (on right above) Osborne. T.J. says that this achievement means a lot to him and his brother. “We’ve worked really hard,” T.J. shares, adding, “This is our third single. ‘Rum,’ which was the single, we thought was gonna do it died halfway through the twenties so we’re very grateful you know.”

The climb to the top of the chart took more than ten months, “In a way I’m kind of glad it was a slow climb,” T.J. reveals, “Because every week we’re like, ‘We’re up another slot’ like those little milestones actually mean so much to us and we’ll definitely carry that experience with us forever.”

The song also earned the Brothers Osborne a GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. We will find out if they win that award when the 58th Annual Grammy Awards air live from Los Angeles’ Staples Center on CBS on February 15, 2016.

Congratulations to Brothers Osborne on their first number one single “Stay A Little Longer.”
