Luke Bryan had another amazing year in 2015 and says he feels like he is reaching a new level vocally.
The reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year was one of five country artists that scored three number one singles last year. That includes two chart toppers from his latest #1 album Kill The Lights which was released in 2015 and has been certified Gold and quickly approaching Platinum status.
The lead single from the album “Kick The Dust Up” and the follow-up single “Strip It Down” accounted for two of Luke’s three #1 songs last year.
The third single from the project is “Home Alone Tonight” and features Little Big Town‘s Karen Fairchild as Luke’s duet partner for the song. That song is following the path set by the first two singles from Kill The Lights as it has reached #8 on the Billboard Country Radio Airplay chart and #10 on the Mediabase/Country Aircheck chart to start 2016. What makes this even more impressive is that the song has only been out for 10 weeks and is in the top 10 on those charts.
Luke says that he feels he has reached a new level vocally on his latest album, “I was having a blast singing these songs and always pushing myself vocally to become a better recording artist,” Luke said, adding, “I’ve always felt like a live singer. Now I feel like I’ve become an even more solid recording artist.”
You will get a chance to see Luke be that “live singer” here in central Illinois when he brings his “Kill The Lights Tour” to the Peoria Civic Center February 19th. Keep listening to B104 to WIN tickets to the concert.
Luke is nominated for Favorite Male Artist (all-genre) and Favorite Male Country Artist at the People’s Choice Awards 2016 which will air tomorrow night (1/6/16) starting at 8 PM central time live from the Microsoft Theater L.A. on CBS.
