Garth Brooks Dominates for Country in RIAA Top 100 Albums of All-Time

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has updated their list of top 100 selling albums of all-time and Garth Brooks dominates the list for country music!

The RIAA isĀ the organization that tracks album sales and issues the Gold, Platinum and Multi-Platinum awards to artists when they reach milestones in sales for their albums. The organization has updated their records and released the top 100 albums of all-time for sales.

Coming in at the top of the list is Michael Jackson‘s Thriller with certified sales of 30 million units. The Eagles come in at a close second place with certified sales of 29 million for their albumĀ Eagles/Greatest Hits.

Garth Brooks and Shania Twain are the only country artists to land in the top 10 on the list. Garth sits at #7 with his Double Live album selling a certified 21 million copies while Shania has certified album sales of 20 million units to land at #9 with Come On Over.

Garth landed six albums in total in the top 100 with Shania having three albums listed in the top 100. The only other country artists to land an album in the top 100 were Kenny Rogers with 12 million in certified sales for Kenny Rogers’ Greatest Hits and the Dixie Chicks also with 12 million certified album sales for Wide Open Spaces.
