If you are a big Pistol Annies fan and have been missing the girl group, get ready to get excited. Ashley Monroe says a Pistol Annies reunion could be brewing.

The trio of ladies consists of Ashley, Miranda Lambert and Angaleena Presley. It was the idea of the three singer-songwriter friends to make some music together and perform on the road. The group made regular appearances on Miranda Lambert’s tour including at US Cellular Coliseum in 2011 (pictured above). However, in 2013 the three cancelled all of their scheduled concerts just a short time after their sophomore album Annie Up was released.

The groups debut album Hell On Heels reached gold status by selling over 500,000 copies. Their sophomore album did not reach that mark. The title track and debut single from Hell On Heels did reach the platinum mark by selling of a million copies of the song.

Miranda surprised fans on a few of her concert stops in early October when the trio made appearances on the “Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour.” In a recent interview with Fuse, Ashley said that a Pistol Annies reunion could be in near future.

“It’s definitely brewing,” Ashley says, “We’ve been missing each other a lot. We recently went on a run with Miranda and we all had chills every night walking up onstage. We have a lot of song ideas going. I feel like it’s soon.”

Ashley says that when the ladies started the group they wanted to keep everything organic. “That’s the thing with us, we never want to force it,” she explains, “If we’re too busy, then don’t force it, there will be a time when things let up a little bit, then we’ll make more music.”

Apparently that time could be very soon.
