Last night (11/11) was the first live results show for season nine of “The Voice” and the teams were cut in half by the end of the show to reveal the Top 12.
Each of the teams began the week with five artists that made it through the Knockout Round and each coach this year was allowed to bring back one artist that had been eliminated in the first ever Coach Comebacks. That meant that on Monday (11/9) and Tuesday (11/10) six artists on each team sang live to motivate America to vote for them.
Before each team’s results were revealed, they performed a group number on the show. Watch those team performances below before the results for the teams … just like on the show.
Team Gwen began the night of results as it was revealed that America’s votes moved Jeffery Austin and Braiden Sunshine into the Top 12. Gwen Stefani then had a tough decision, but ultimately decided out of the remain four artists to keep Korin Bukowski on Team Gwen for the Top 12.
Team Blake then found out that the voting advanced Barrett Baber and Zach Seabaugh through to the Top 12. Blake Shelton had to make a heart-wrenching decision of which artist out of four would get to remain and he chose to keep Emily Ann Roberts on Team Blake moving to the Top 12 live shows.
Pharrell Williams found out that Evan McKeel and Madi Davis were saved by America’s votes to be in the Top 12. The difficult decision of which artist out of four would get to remain on Team Pharrell. Pharrell finally made the choice to keep Mark Hood on the show moving forward in the Top 12.
Team Adam finally gathered on the stage to find out their fates as America voted to keep Jordan Smith and Shelby Brown in the Top 12. Adam Levine then nearly ran out of time on the show before making the decision to keep Amy Vachal on Team Adam as part of the Top 12.
The Top 12 will take “The Voice” stage again Monday night (11/16) to perform live for America’s votes starting at 7pm central time on NBC TV.
