The Knockout Round begins tonight on season nine of “The Voice” and it appears that Blake Shelton and Adam Levine will try to steal the same artist.
Superstar Rihanna joins “The Voice” to help all of the coaches get their remaining artists ready for the Knockout Round. The artists get to choose their own song and then perform it going head-to-head against another member of their team.
After the two performances, the coach has to decide which artist will continue to the live shows on their team. That leaves the other artist available for the other three coaches to use their one steal on to bring them to their own team.
This steal can be a huge play in the season. The perfect example is Craig Wayne Boyd. Just one year ago in season seven, Gwen Stefani chose to eliminate Craig Wayne Boyd from her team in the Knockout Round and Blake chose to steal him back to Team Blake. I say “back” because Gwen stole Craig Wayne from Blake in the Battle Round. Ultimately Craig Wayne Boyd went on to win season seven of “The Voice” as part of Team Blake.
The preview at the top of the page indicates that Blake and Adam both choose to “steal” the same artist tonight after one of the Knockout Round dual performances. The questions are which artist is it, from which team and which coach does the artist choose to go with?
We will all find out tonight when the Knockout Round gets started on “The Voice” season nine at 7pm central time on NBC TV.
Below is a leaked video of the performances from two of Team Adam’s artists in tonight’s Knockout Round.
