Hunter Hayes is releasing his The 21 Project Friday, November 6th and we will get to experience it live the next day!

That’s right, we previously announced that Hunter will bring his “21 Tour” to Braden Auditorium on the ISU campus Saturday, November 7th. Tickets are on sale now and you can get concert and ticket details here.

Hunter just revealed that he will release his new multi-disc album called The 21 Project the day before his concert here. The new release will feature a disc with an acoustic version of seven new songs, a disc with a studio version of those seven songs and a disc with a live version of those seven songs. (Three discs with seven songs on each, thus “The 21 Project” … get it?)

Hunter says the set is a showcase of the life of these seven songs through each variation.  “This project has been a lot of fun for me, because it really brings the focus back to the music and shows how a song grows from its original form into something we play on stage,” Hunter explains.

Hunter is going to tie The 21 Project together with his live tour this fall, “We’re making our fall tour all about the music and connecting with fans in a closer setting, and just enjoying music together.” That tour will be at Braden Auditorium the day after the release of the project.

Hunter co-wrote all the songs on the project including the song “Where It All Begins” which he co-wrote with all three members of Lady Antebellum (Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott). The trio even provided vocals for the song’s recording.

The project’s first single is titled “21” and is currently climbing the country charts and approaching the top 20. You can hear the song on B104.

The entire The 21 Project should be an interesting way to experience new music with three versions (acoustic, studio and live) of each song. The release the day before Hunter is here should make that concert a very special one as well.
