Yesterday (10/6) Miranda Lambert received her star on the Music City Walk of Fame in Nashville.
Miranda’s friend and fellow country music singer-songwriter Dierks Bentley was at the ceremony to introduce the female country music superstar for the honor.
The multi-Grammy Award winner and ACM Awards Female Vocalist of the Year for the past six years and CMA Awards Female Vocalist of the Year for the past five years (and nominated again this year in the upcoming awards show) has her star in front of the Country Music Hall of Fame.
Talking about the honor Miranda said, “It’s awesome. It’s so cool. Like, I guess seeing it down there, too, kind of made me… it set in a little bit. You see it on your calendar and you get your day sheets and all that stuff so sometimes being here and like seeing the actual event and hearing the other folks talk that got it today… I don’t know. It just felt real and really cool, so I loved it. I just feel really ingrained in Nashville right now. Like, I feel really part of it and so this just solidifies everything that I’ve been feeling just being here for the last couple months.”
Miranda shared the picture at the top of the page on her Facebook page along with the message, “Getting a star on the Music City Walk Of Fame today was such an honor! Thanks Dierks Bentley for being there with me and the sweet words you said. Such a good friend! #cantmakeoldfriends #ILoveNashville”
Congratulations to Miranda Lambert on the well-deserved honor of getting a star on the Music City Walk of Fame!
