Last night (9/21) season nine of “The Voice” began with the Blind Auditions and coach Blake Shelton ended the night adding two artists to his team.

All four teams ended the night with a pair of artists in fact. Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani and Pharrell Williams all scored artist before Team Blake in the way that the season premiere aired.

When Nadjah Nicole from New Castle, DE took the stage she performed her version of the song “Tightrope.” Personally I felt that the song really didn’t allow her to show off her vocal abilities very well. She sounded like she had a good voice, but I just didn’t hear a spot that confirmed that. Apparently Adam did because he hit his button. At the last minute so did Blake. Watch Nadjah’s performance below and see the two original, and only coaches to appear on every season of the show battle for her.

Barrett Baber from Fayetteville, AR was the final artist to take the stage for the night. He put his personal touch on the song “Angel Eyes.” It took very little time for all four coaches to hit their buttons. I have to say I loved it when Barrett referenced one of Blake’s songs by saying, “What do you say ‘Ol Red’?”

Night two of the Blind Auditions on season nine of “The Voice” happens tonight starting at 7pm central time on NBC. So far, it appears that this season will be full of some very talented artists.
