Miranda Lambert and the late Johnny Cash will be among the latest inductees on the Music City Walk of Fame.
The two will receive stars during an induction ceremony October 6th in the Walk of Fame Park in Nashville. Other inductees at the ceremony include Country Music Hall of Fame member and Grand Ole Opry leader E.W. “Bud” Wendell and legendary guitarist Steve Cropper. These will be the 67th, 68th, 69th and 70th stars to be added to the Music City Walk of Fame.
Inductees are recognized for their significant contributions to preserving the musical heritage of Nashville and for contributing to the world through song or other industry collaboration.
Miranda says of the honor, “Thank you so much to the City of Nashville and Music City Walk of Fame for this honor and privilege. I am proud to join a heritage of other female inductees, such as Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Emmylou Harris and Martina McBride. This is a milestone moment that I will cherish forever.”
The superstar country music singer-songwriter is having a hard time wrapping her head around being inducted with the legendary Johnny Cash. “Just saying his name alongside mine, takes my breath away,” Miranda said.
Congratulations to Miranda Lambert, Johnny Cash and all the inductees to the Music City Walk of Fame.
