Country duo Maddie & Tae‘s big year continues as their debut album Start Here makes a big debut at #2 on the Billboard Country Album sales chart!
What makes that debut even bigger is that the only country act the female duo did not outsell in the first week of release of their new album was arguably the biggest name in country music right now, Luke Bryan. The album also made a debut inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 all-genre chart at #7!
Maddie Marlow and Tae Dye have been having an incredible year in 2015! Just last week the two received three nominations for the 49th Annual Country Music Awards (CMA) Show. Their CMA nominations are for Duo of the Year, New Artist of The Year and Video of the Year for “Girl In a Country Song.”
Excitement took over Maddie as she exclaimed, “It’s been like a bobsled this year. Every time we turned around, there was some incredible piece of good news!”
Tae added, “We’ve been very blessed. Maddie and I write these songs a lot of times to figure out things in our own lives. We get that benefit, and then when people come to our shows and sing these songs back to us? That’s the greatest feeling in the world.”
The two have spent the summer on tour with Dierks Bentley on his “Sounds of Summer Tour.”
