A group of Firefighters in Florida saved a man who suffered a heart attack while mowing his lawn. Then, the firefighters finished mowing his lawn.
A couple of weekends ago Ralph McCrory was starting to mow his lawn in Spring Hill, Florida. He had a heart attack doing the yard work.
Firefighters were called to the scene via a 911 call from Ralph’s wife. They attended to Ralph and sent him to the hospital in an ambulance.
That is where this good story gets great. The Firefighters talked with Ralph’s wife and found out that it typically takes him four days to get the yard mowed. The men that serve the public decided to take it to another level and stay at Ralph’s house for another 30 minutes finishing up the yard work.
A neighbor saw what was happening and took some pictures of the Firemen mowing Ralph’s yard and posted them to his Facebook page.
Ralph remains in the hospital to undergo more tests according to ABC News. So, inspired by the Firemen, Ralph’s neighbor is taking care of the lawn while he remains in the hospital. He says he will continue to mow the lawn for his neighbor until his health allows him to do it for himself.
The Firefighters that mowed the yard for Ralph received recognition and were honored by the Hernando County Commission for going above and beyond the call of duty. Although that is not why they did it. Which makes it an even more meaningful act of kindness by them.
