Sam Hunt has reached the #1 spot with his latest single “House Party.” I guess we can guess how he will celebrate.

The advanced Billboard Country Airplay chart is out and Sam has climbed to the top of that chart.

“House Party” in the singer-songwriter’s third number one single. All three of Sam’s chart toppers have come consecutively and can all be found on his debut album Montevallo.

The album also hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Album sales chart as well as being certified Gold for sales of more than 500,000 copies. It is available at music stores and digital outlets everywhere.

“House Party” follows Sam’s previous chart topping singles “Leave The Night On” and “Take Your Time.”

“Leave The Night On” has been certified Platinum as a single for more than one million copies sold and “Take Your Time” hit the Double-Platinum mark of over two million.

“House Party” appears to be on a similar track as it has surpassed Gold level in sales (500,000) having sold more than 670,000 copies of the single to date.

Sam knows his music stretches the country genre and says that even his path to stardom is not the typical model, “My route is a little bit nontraditional. A lot of the people working in Nashville, they have a model. I don’t really fit into that.”

Sam chose to be different even in his clothing style. He used to wear “boots and jeans.” However, when people in Nashville told him he had to wear that kind of clothing he admits he made the choice to be different, “I was like, ‘Wait a minute. Why?’ So, I deliberately dressed differently, which has broken down stereotypes.” He then adds, “People who might not have listened to me if they’d seen me sitting on a hay bale in a barn on the front of a record — they give the music a chance.”

Apparently Sam’s style in music and image is working and attracting new fans to country music. Sam shares, “The most flattering thing I hear is, ‘I didn’t think I liked country music before I heard your record.'”

Sam has been out on the road this summer with Lady Antebellum on the “Wheels Up Tour.” He will join Luke Bryan on his “Farm Tour 2015” September 30th when it kicks off in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
