Cassie Kelley, wife of Lady Antebellum member Charles Kelley, revealed on Good Morning America (GMA) this morning that the couple’s first child will be a baby boy!
Cassie was appearing on the morning show as part of GMA’s fertility week. During a segment where Cassie discussed the struggles she and Charles had while trying to conceive a child, she revealed the sex of their unborn child.
“We’re almost four months and I’m due in February and we just found out that we’re having a boy, which I just get choked up thinking about and we’re thankful, we’re so — blessed isn’t a strong enough word … We were up against some incredible odds and it still happened,” Cassie said.
She reveals in the video segment that the couple found out that Cassie’s body does not ovulate regularly and were set to try In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) when they found out that she was already pregnant. Watch the GMA report with Cassie Kelley here.
Cassie broke the news that she and Charles were expecting earlier this month through her Womanista blog.
“So many couples struggle each month to conceive a child, and I’m thankful to GMA for shining a spotlight on infertility this week. Modern medicine can truly work miracles…but the GREATEST miracle of all is the gift of life, which is always in God’s hands and is always in the perfect time,” Cassie shared on her website this morning after the feature aired on GMA.
Congratulations on the news that Charles and Cassie Kelley are expecting a baby boy!
