Naomi and Wynonna Judd will reunite as the mother-daughter duo The Judds to perform a series of concerts during a residency at Las Vegas‘ Venetian in October.
The Judds were one of the premier acts in country music until health issues forced the multi-platinum act to stop touring. Since that time the two have performed a handful of times together for special occasions.
For the first time in nearly five years the two will again perform as The Judds for a short residency run at The Venetian Theater. The shows are being called the ‘Girls Night Out” after one of the duos biggest hit songs from 1985. You can bet that you will hear that song during the shows as well as hit songs like “Love Can Build a Bridge,” “Why Not Me” and “Give A Little Love” from The Judds catalog of music as well as some of Wynonna’s solo hits like “No One Else on Earth” and “I Saw The Light.” The all-new show created specifically for the Vegas residency will feature a set list that was hand-picked by Wynonna and Naomi.
The shows will run October 7th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 21st, 23rd and 24th. Tickets for “Girls Night Out” with The Judds will go on sale Friday, August 28th at all Venetian box offices with a starting price tag of $59.50.
Music Row quotes Wynonna as saying, “Over the years people have asked me about a Judds reunion and I have always said the door is open. When this opportunity was presented to me, I looked at it as an incredible chance to celebrate my mom. I have a new album coming out soon and this is the perfect way to honor the roots that gave me the wings to fly.”
Naomi added, “This show is for the fans – the fans that I have missed every single day since leaving the stage. Every artist goes through a time in their career where they feel that it’s time to call it quits, but once it’s in your blood and you’re still able to do it, you can’t not do it. It will be the thrill of my life to join Wynonna on the stage again in Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world!”
