Kelsea Ballerini‘s single “Love Me Like You Mean It” became her first #1 single and now it’s her first Gold single!
The rising country music star was able to score her first chart topper with her debut single. Last June Kelsea became the first female country artist to take her debut single to the #1 spot on the Billboard Country Radio Airplay chart since Carrie Underwood did it with “Jesus Take The Wheel” in 2006.
Now that same single has sold more than 500,000 copies making it Kelsea’s first certifeid Gold single. The Knoxville, Tennessee native is pretty excited about the latest milestone for her debut single.
She posted the picture below on her Facebook page along with the message, “IS THIS REAL LIFE. “Love Me Like You Mean It” is GOLD and I can’t even. This is my first GOLD record you guys!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.”
The great year for Kelsea will continue as her current single “Dibs” is climbing the charts and has already sold more than 66,000 copies. Both songs are from her debut album The First Time, which is available in music stores and digital outlets everywhere.
She is also slated to open select concerts for some of country music’s biggest names including Alan Jackson, Lady Antebellum, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and will join Dan + Shay’s “Just The Right Kind Of Crazy Tour” this fall.
Congratulations to Kelsea Ballerini on her first Gold single “Love Me Like You Mean It.”
