Taylor Donelson of Clinton, Illinois was the big winner with the Grand Champion Steer at the Illinois State Fair. The name of the steer is Scotty McCreery and not only did Governor Rauner purchase the steer with sixty one thousand dollars of his own money, but Scotty McCreery curious of his namesake and decided to surprise Taylor at the award ceremony.

Sounds like it was a pretty good day for the soon to be Sophomore at Northern Illinois. Don’t forget to check out the great country acts at the Illinois State Fair this year.
